Scientific issues

The scientific theme of UMI UMMISCO concerns the mathematical and informatically modeling of complex natural, biological or social systems. The field of research of the IMU concerns on the one hand the development of new methods of computer and mathematical modeling and on the other hand the development of thematic applications which mainly fall under the following priority themes of the IRD:

• Emerging infectious diseases;

• Climate change and natural hazards;

• Ecosystems and natural resources;

• Urban and social systems.
