Using drones for crop monitoring.

The drone is a flagship tool of so-called "connected" agriculture. Beyond its gadget aspect, the use of the drone is developing for all types of crops.

Equipped with specific sensors, a drone can quickly fly over large areas of crops, and make accurate photographs of the growth of plants, and produce hydrographic or pedological data of plots ... Today, the drone is considered as a technological means for practicing a high precision agriculture, which would make it possible to adjust the supply of fertilizers and products inside the plots. But other uses can still appear. Its ability to quickly cover large areas is an interesting asset in more ways than one!

It should be noted, however, that the question of a life-cycle analysis on this new devicearises, namely to determine whether the savings it would allow in terms of greenhouse gas emissions offset the resources that were necessary for its manufacture and use.
