FERTIPRADO was founded in 1990, based on the technical knowledge and philosophy of the agronomist David Crespo who studied livestock systems, based on pasture and forage, as a solution to the sustainability of crop-livestock systems.

The development of a crop-livestock project based on this philosophy on the farm “Herdade dos Esquerdos”, owned by the Crespo family, allowed the validation of these concepts and the adaptation of usage and handling techniques, bringing about the creation of the FERTIPRADO company as a way to share and disseminate the techniques that had been developed.

To develop a combination of activities of research, development, marketing and technical assistance, in order to give farmers solutions for a better quality of animal feed, according to their needs and to their farm activity, contributing in this way
