SIVE is a non-profit association, open to all persons (winemakers and winemakers, graduates, researchers, producers) and legal entities (cooperative and private wineries, suppliers of goods and services, organizations and associations) involved in development of the wine sector in Italy.

It counts hundreds of associates, distributed in many regions and continuously growing, which represent all the important oenological contexts of our country.

Members are represented on the National Board of Directors through their members.

The Association refers to a National Secretariat that coordinates SIVE's activities, ensuring logistical support and contacts at international level. Currently the secretarial service is entrusted to VINIDEA s.r.l., headquartered in Ponte dell'Olio (PC).

The aims of SIVE
- Provide opportunities for quality professional training and upgrading, with a global and international vision of technical evolution.
- To play an interface between the world of wine production and that of wine research.
- Promoting scientific research in the wine sector and in general the growth of the Italian wine industry and the consumption of quality wine.

What does SIVE do?
- Organize technical meetings for further study in various Italian regions with the assistance of foreign and / or Italian specialists;
- Organizes study trips abroad to discover techniques applied in other wine-growing realities;
- Organize training courses in collaboration with the most important research centers in the world.
