The Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Montpellier (IAMM) is one of the four institutes of the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), an intergovernmental organization established in 1962.

Founded in 1962, the CIHEAM is a Mediterranean intergovernmental organisation devoted to the sustainable development of agriculture and fisheries, food and nutrition security and rural and coastal areas. It is composed of 13 member States (Albania, Algeria, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey) and operates through its 4 Institutes based in Bari (Italy), Chania (Greece), Montpellier (France) and Zaragoza (Spain) and the Headquarters based in Paris.

Regarding the IAMM strictly speaking, our areas of expertise and action focus on subjects  related to the management of agriculture and territories, to project engineering, to public policies for agriculture, environment and, food and to rural development,  agri-food systems and agri-logistics. The IAMM is accredited to issue the French national diploma of Master in 5 pathways addressing those subjects.
