“Recycling plant and animal biomass in crop-livestock farming systems” (BIOVA) is a capacity-building project for agricultural research and promotion of agro-ecological techniques. It aims to increase agricultural yields and improve the productivity of farmers in Madagascar and Mozambique.

The BIOVA project deals in particular with plant and animal biomass produced on the farm. Activities aim to find ways to conserve and recycle resources better and promote conservation agriculture and crop-livestock synergy. Five interrelated activities are carried out within the framework of the project.

The project has been developed taking into account the agricultural challenges in Madagascar and Mozambique which deals with plant and animal biomass.
